Meet the Cast and Creative Team Behind Oh, What a Day!
Meet the Oh What a Day cast and creative team as preparations get underway for Little Red Kettle’s newest Interactive Touring Play!
Written and directed by Joe Meagher, Oh, What a Day! will take primary school children on a hilarious journey filled with unexpected twists, colourful characters and plenty of imagination.
But behind every Interactive Touring Play is a dedicated team of performers and creatives who help make the magic happen. From guiding children through the story to designing the costumes, props and backdrop, each member of the team plays an important role in creating the experience.
So, without further ado, let’s meet the team!
Joe Meagher – Writer & Director

Joe Meagher has been part of Little Red Kettle’s Interactive Touring Play for over thirty years, performing as an actor and helping to bring countless stories to life for primary school children.
This year, Joe takes on a different role as the writer and director of Oh, What a Day!, bringing his years of experience and creativity to a brand new adventure.
And what does Joe hope for this year’s production? That everyone has a fabulously fantastic time!
Natasha Everitt – Performer
Natasha Everitt is delighted to be back on the road with the Interactive Touring Play, bringing a little slice of LRK magic to primary schools.
A familiar face at Little Red Kettle, Natasha regularly facilitates drama workshops and works with young people to devise original performances for their end-of-term showings.
Outside of LRK, Natasha creates her own theatre work and performs with artists and companies across the country.
You can follow Natasha’s creative work at www.natashaeveritt.com or on Instagram @natashaeverittarts.

Shauna Farrell – Performer

Shauna Farrell is a professional actor, director, writer and arts coordinator based in Waterford City.
As a drama facilitator and actor with Little Red Kettle, Shauna brings a wealth of experience to the ITP team. She has performed with Garter Lane Arts Centre, Theatre Royal Waterford, Red Kettle Theatre Company and Shakespeare Squared, as well as on the stages of the National Theatre in London and the Irish Arts Centre in New York.
Shauna is also the casting coordinator with Spraoi in Waterford and co-founder of Rigout Productions, where she has spent the past fifteen years creating collaborative multimedia work.
Cilian Jacob – Performer
Cilian Jacob is an actor and musician from Waterford.
Alongside his work with Little Red Kettle, he performs street theatre with Curious State and can regularly be found playing original music and covers around Waterford City.
Bringing his experience in theatre and live performance to the team, Cilian joins this year’s ITP adventure as one of the performers guiding children through the story.

David Marchant – Performer

David Marchant began his acting journey with Little Red Kettle in 2016 and has since performed on stages throughout Munster.
Having developed his experience in theatre over the years, David is looking forward to heading out on the road with the team for another exciting Interactive Touring Play.
Deirdre Dwyer – Production Designer
Deirdre Dwyer is a Waterford-based theatre maker whose work spans directing, writing, and set and costume design, both locally, nationally and internationally.
Passionate about creating more professional theatre in and for Waterford, Deirdre believes that high-quality theatre should be accessible to everyone, particularly children and young people.
For Oh, What a Day!, Deirdre brings her creativity to the production’s visual design, creating the backdrop, costumes and props that help transform school halls into colourful and imaginative theatrical worlds.

Bringing Oh, What a Day! to Life
With rehearsals underway, the team are busy preparing for another season of storytelling, creativity and interactive theatre.
Unlike a traditional theatre performance, Little Red Kettle’s ITP invites children to step into the story themselves, taking on characters and helping to bring the adventure to life, guided by our experienced performers.
This year’s production follows best friends Billy Bonkers and Milly Madasaboot as they embark on an extraordinary quest to stop the dastardly Dr Hector Kryptonfactor from trapping the world in Monday morning forever!
Oh, What a Day! begins touring primary schools on 23 November 2026, and we can’t wait to see the team bring this brand new adventure to life.
