About Little Red Kettle
OUR VISION
Our vision is to empower children and young people to tell their own stories through engagement with theatre and play.
OUR MISSION
We produce theatre and an accessible artistic programme for, by and with children and young people from all backgrounds.
OUR CORE VALUES
Little Red Kettle are committed to providing excellent artistic and creative experiences for children and young people. We believe every child has the right to a rich and diverse artistic and cultural life and we believe they have the right to have their voices and stories heard.
PLAY Little Red Kettle recognises the importance of play and how children and young people can use it as part of their development and their entry way to creativity. We create spaces for children and young people to play safely and without judgement and to create their own stories that speak to them and of them.
COLLABORATION The company is built and depends on collaboration and partnership. We value collaborations with artists, children, young people and our community and understand that collaboration involves co-operation and creating a space where everyone is heard. We want to provide opportunities for theatre makers and artists to make work with and for younger audiences.
PARTICIPATION It is vital that the children and young people who engage with Little Red Kettle participate in a way that is meaningful to them. We are committed to embedding a participation model in how we make decisions, which is specifically modelled in our Culture Club and how members can feed directly into artistic and strategic decision making.
ACCESS Little Red Kettle endeavour to make our programme accessible to all children and young people regardless of their background and experiences. We address access by removing financial barriers, considering the spaces we work in and working directly in communities where access to the arts and theatre is not always available.
